Well, Christian's implant was turned on today. They had to make 2 adjustments before he got very quiet and very still and was able to hear! It was very exciting and joyful! I, of course, got teary eyed. Just knowing that he can hear our voices was just overwhelming. Especially waiting this long. It will take him time to adjust. He started "school" earlier this month. He goes one day a week (will be 2 days starting next week). Christian has one-on-one therapy with his teacher. Edwin and I am there as well. We are learning things to do at home to "help" him learn to talk faster and better. We've already noticed improvement. He loves to go and play! |
