My poor, sweet boy! He had his first ER visit last night. He had been running a fever of about 102 since the 8th. But it went away, then came back with a vengence tonight! He had a fever of 105.3! Yuck! And on a Saturday night! Of all times! :) I took him into the ER. They gave him some Tylenol and figured out that he has a viral infection plus a slight middle ear infection (not his cochlear implant ear, thank goodness!). Doc put him on Amoxacillian. Fever was down to no more than 103 when we left. He had cooled off since they last took his temp. He has been very demanding on wanting to be held b/c of this. He was pulling at his ear (but only since we got into the ER). Hopefully he'll be better tomorrow! Poor lil guy! |
