Christian FINALLY got his first RSV shot today. The shot is given every 4 weeks. It doesn't prevent RSV, but if the baby gets it, it won't be as bad as what it could have been. Christian got his shot a month sooner last year (first shots are given in November, usually). The shots can cost a couple thousand each and Christian gets 2 (last year, they were about $2500 each shot) and they get the shots every 4 weeks. I'm so thankful for insurance!!! He went down a little in weight to 19 lb and a couple ounces. I'm pretty disappointed by that, but Christian hasn't been eating as much as he usually does (combination of new teeth *he has 10 now, including 3 molars* and that he's at *that age* where he just doesn't eat). He hasn't become picky, he just doesn't eat as much as he used to!!! Kids will be kids! Also, after the first of the year, Christian will be started in the Toddler class at school. He'll go once a week for 4 hours and he'll be with other kids. It will take him awhile to get used to it, but once he does, then he'll go more days. It's a really big step for him. He's never really been around a lot of other kids before, but when he is, he's very nice and loves to play (plus flirt with the girls)!! Edwin and I are happy and proud of Christian!! He's come so far!
Well, Christian now can climb onto the couch. He'll use anything to get on it. Then, when he does, he pretty much tears apart and/or eats everything that's in his way (we have a sectional and there is an "end table" between the couch and the recliner). He's a riot! Today, he got into the crayons. Good thing they are non-toxic because I'm sure he's got a colorful stomach! LOL! Starting in February, Christian will be going to school for 1/2 day once a week! Yeah! He's getting a more expanded vocabulary, but they are sounds, not words, so I can't really type them here. His teacher says that by the sounds he's making, his implant is working perfectly! Yeah!!!
December 21: Edwin got a job at the Best Western Mezona. He'll be working in Maintenance! My Christmas present was getting my hair cut (over 12 inches) and having highlights put in! It's a huge difference!!
December 25: We went upto Snowflake, hoping for snow. NOPE! It was in the 60's! We spent the night at a great Bed and Breakfast. We had a wonderful time!
